Without missing a beat, Singer jumps out of your arms, and dashes under the giant junk monster’s legs further into the junkyard. The junk monster turns to follow Singer, its joints creaking loudly, and you take advantage of the opportunity to run in and save the trapped puppies.
“Lolo, Tasi, where are you?” you call out, clambering over the pile of crushed cars. You hear a muffled whimpering from inside a battered, old heap, and wrenching the door open, you see that the two puppies were trapped inside.
“Are you okay?” you ask.
“Are we?” Tasi replies. “We’ll be much better when we get out of here!”
You reach down into the crushed car, and bring out the two little dogs, setting them down with their tails wagging appreciatively.
“Run now, let’s get out of here!” Tasi cries.
“But what about Singer?” Lolo says, and you look around and see her perched atop a pile of smashed cars.
Seeing that you have freed the other puppies, Singer leaps past the junk monster, and dashes toward you as fast as she can. The junk monster lumbers forward, and picks up a huge truck tire, lifting it over its head, and throws it at Singer. It narrowly misses as Singer bounds out of the way.
“Singer’s too fast for it!” you say. “Come on, Singer!”
As if realizing that it cannot catch Singer, the junk monster stoops and picks up a huge metal trash bin, raises it over its head, and throws it at Singer. The sleek little dog dodges it, and bounds deftly down the pile of crushed cars, bolting as fast as she can straight for you.
“Watch out!” Singer cries, bowling you over as a chunk of metal crashes down where you were.
“I know how we can stop this thing,” Lolo says.
“Stop it?” Tasi says. “Forget it! It almost killed us. We need to get out of here fast!”
You say:
“This thing is too dangerous to spend any more time with. We need to go!” {D-6-C}
