You manage to coax Winston into the box, and close the flaps to make sure he is thoroughly out of sight, just in time! Within a few moments the bus pulls into its next stop. The magician gets out of his seat and glances around the bus, momentarily looking in your direction before getting off the bus with some of the other passengers. You watch him from the window of your seat as he strolls away and enters a nearby shop.

“You can relax now, my special one,” you hear from the old man as he peers into the box. “Come on out.” He delicately lifts Winston and places him in your lap.

“Are you going to ride this bus all the way to the end or did you just want to escape that strangely dressed man?” asks your new friend.

“I’m not sure,” you reply. “We wanted to lose the magician, but that was as far as our plan went. I don’t even know the final destination of this journey.”

“Does anybody ever know the end of their journey? And if they did, would they really want to know anyway?” the man says with a wink.

“So where is this bus taking us and where are you going, if you don’t mind me asking?” you say.

“The bus is heading to the Kimberley Region northwest from here,” the old man informs you. “I am going on a walkabout. You two can join me if you like. I don’t know how much fun you will have. It will be quite a bit of walking. You can help me carry my boxes. Afterwards, we can see the cave drawings of the Wanjina.”

“What are the Wanjina?” you ask.

“I’ll tell you while we deliver my boxes,” he replies.

You say:

“Thank you for the invitation, but that sounds like work. I think we’ve had enough excitement!” {W-6-F}

“You’ve been a big help, and we’d love to return the favor! I want to see the Wanjina!” {W-6-E}
