“Follow me!” Toby says. “I know exactly where they are but I’m not sure how to get them out.”

You follow Toby. He leads you across the lagoon to the sunken wreck of a mid 20th century naval vessel, lying at the bottom of the lagoon, and coated with colorful corals and sponges. Swimming around the sunken ship, you and Toby enter through an open hatch, and Toby quietly leads you down a dark, narrow passage to what was once the ship’s brig. The metal hatch is encrusted on either side by dark, lumpy rocks.

“The place doesn’t seem to be guarded,” Toby says.

“Think again!” one of the rocks says, and you realize then that they are mutated stonefish.

“I’m glad you’re on guard,” Toby quickly replies. “I was going to complain to Volitan that no one was watching the prisoners. You can help me lock this one up,” he says, pointing at you.

The two stonefish escort you into an enclosed prison hatch, and then pause to look you over.

“What kind of strange fish are you, anyway?” one of them asks. “I’ve never seen anything like you before.”

“Yeah, and what kind of fins are those?” the other one says.

“Oh, these are called hands,” you say, “and they’re perfect for grabbing things, just like this!”

Before the stonefish realize what has just happened, you grab them by their lumpy tails, and flip them ahead of you into back of the prison hatch.

“Watch out for those venom spines!” Toby cries, and you dodge out of the way just in time to avoid being stung. The stonefish hit the back wall with a squishing sound, and you take advantage of the moment to swim out and slam the hatch door behind you.

“Well,” Toby says, “that solves that problem!”

“I hope you can solve our problem,” you hear from the adjacent cell. “Help us!” All of the missing representatives are locked in the next hatch. You want to free them, yet the door is locked. You inspect the lock. It is a magical lock that looks impossible to open without a key.

You say:

“We can’t open the door. Don’t worry, we’ll come back with help once we stop Volitan.”{F-4-B}

Or

“Look around, Toby. Maybe we can find something that will pry this door open.”{F-5-C}
