You knock on the front door and experience déjà vu. You know this is the first time you have ever knocked on the door, yet it seems oddly familiar.

“Please, come in” the pet shop owner says from inside.

“You left your key inside the lock,” you say to him.

“No, I didn’t,” he replies. “That is your key.”

“Why would I have a key to your pet shop?” you ask.

“This isn’t my pet shop,” he says. “I only work here.”

“I don’t understand,” you say.

“This pet shop is drawn to you and you are drawn to it, I imagine,” he says. “Why else would you have gone through all of this trouble?”

“I still don’t get it,” you say, and the pet shop owner smiles.

“Follow me,” he requests.

The pet shop employee leads you back into a secret chamber. He shows you the portraits of all the former owners of the pet shop over the centuries.

“That’s me!” you exclaim when you see yourself depicted in the last portrait.

It takes some getting use to, but you quickly learn everything it takes to run a magical pet shop. You spend the rest of your life as the magical pet shop owner finding and caring for magical pets around the globe.
