“Follow me,” the cat hisses emphatically. “There’s something you’ll want to see over here!”
"What is it?" Sunny asks, warily.
"You'll see," the cat says, and motions with its tail for you to follow. “I am Misi, by the way.”
Misi leads you down a narrow crevasse, which is too narrow for proper flight. You and the other birds hop and climb down after the stealthy cat. Suddenly, you stumble and Mellku falls off.
“Oh no!” you shout. Before you can react, the cat pounces, catching the little monkey by the tail with its paw. You see the look of horror on Mellku’s face while dangling over Misi’s open mouth. You want to fly over there to save the marmoset but you can’t open up your wings fully.
“Don’t worry little one. I’ve got you. Why don’t you climb up on my back for awhile. Your bird friend looks a bit tired,” Misi says to Mellku. You and the other birds are surprised yet relieved.
Misi leads you to an open secluded vale, filled with trees full of brightly multicolored fruits unlike anything you’ve ever imagined. You are so dazzled by the vivid colors and fantastical shapes of the trees that you fail to see the marmoset family playing directly in front of you.You snap out of it when you see Misi pounce directly on top of two marmosets as the others scramble away.
“I’m so misunderstood,” Misi says. “Anyway, I’m not even hungry, I’ve already eaten lunch. I actually brought a present for you.” Mellku jumps down off of Misi’s back and immediately hugs the closest marmoset as it is released by Misi. Realizing the cat won’t harm them, all of the marmosets crowd around Mellku, pawing at him and greeting him warmly.
“We didn't even know that our baby cousin had gone missing,” they say, “but now we can return him home to the rest of his family. We never thought we would say this to a cat, but thank you. We will share with you our knowledge of this fruit as a reward. These here can transform you.”
“I don’t know why anyone would want to be anything other than a cat!” Misi says.
“I want some,” you say. You spend hours learning about the transformative powers of the fruit from the marmosets. You want to take as much home as you can so you to eat some fruit and turn into a pelican.
“Whoa! Now you can take home plenty,” Sunny says. “Tocayo could carry loads in his bill too.”
“Sorry, but I need to get back home.” Tocayo explains. “I happily helped Mellku because I’d want the same for my chicks.”
After saying goodbye to everyone, you and Sunny fly off with as many pieces of magical fruit as you can carry. You can’t wait to get home and see what Sunny would be like as a human friend.
